Teachers, students, researchers, and anyone else curious about nanotechnology were encouraged to attend to earn about what nanotechnology is, how it's used, and how it might impact our lives. This was an excellent opportunity to experience nanotech first-hand.

  • Plenary Address and Interactive Exhibit
9:15 AM Tong Auditorium (1003), Engineering Centers Building

"The Zero@Wavefunction Project: Art meets Nanoscience"
Profs. Jim Gimzewski (Chemistry) and Victoria Vesna, (Design / Media Arts), UCLA

  • Capstone Address
11:30 AM 1610 Auditorium, Engineering Hall
Dr. Art Ellis, Director, Chemistry Division, National Science Foundation and Professor, UW-Madison

  • Bringing Nanotech Science into the Classroom
Learn about nanotech teaching methods and materials
Learn to conduct nanotech experiments in your classroom
Attend teaching workshops on nanotechnology science
Take home your own discovery kit!

  • Experience nanotechnology first-hand!
Immerse yourself in 3D nanoworlds through virtual reality displays
See microscopes that peer into the nanoworld
